ITD gearing up in Brussels
The road transport of goods is affected even more by the development in Europe. This is how it will be in the future, and that applies regardless of whether we move towards ‘more European cooperation’ or ‘less
Since 2015, ITD has been represented with an office in Brussels and is now gearing up the association’s presence in the EU capital. ITD’s CEO, Carina Christensen, explained this in her report at ITD’s General Assembly.
- The goal is to ensure an even stronger voice for Danish road transport of goods in the European cooperation. Therefore, we employ another senior employee at our office in Brussels, and in future, our political department in our home country will also increase their presence in the European establishments, she says.
ITD will in the years to come specifically target our cooperation with relevant associations and authorities in other EU countries.
- That shall give us useful knowledge and experience about the administrative practice and legal practice in the other countries, because is shall contribute to strengthening ITD’s work helping our members becoming even better in navigating within – unfortunately – too many domestic special rules in the area for road transport of goods, says Carina Christensen.
