ITD met the EU Commission - Competition regarding PostNord
The CEO from ITD, Carina Christensen, and Lawyer Lena Sandberg, representing ITD and Danske Fragtmænd in the complaints against PostNord, met last week with officials from the EU Commission - Competition.
The meeting with the Commission - Competition was partly about the writ ITD sent to the EU Court of Justice regarding the EU Commission’s decision from May this year, where the Commission approved the Danish state being allowed to send 1.2 billion DKK in State aid to Post Danmark.
Furthermore, the complaint from ITD and Danske Fragtmænd to the EU Commission regarding the capital contribution to PostNord Logistics was on the agenda.
- We had a constructive meeting with the Commission - Competition with the opportunity to amplify the various items of our complaints and to substantiate the concern, which our members of the transport business share in relation to the competition situation from a State-aided PostNord, said Carina Christensen, CEO at ITD.
At the meeting, ITD presented its complaints regards the capital contribution to Post Danmark and PostNord Logistics and had the opportunity to ask questions about the cases to the Commission - Competition. Then the Commission’s next step in the processes was discussed.
